The Amana Heritage Society is hosting a Wine Tasting on Saturday November 7, 2009 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Homestead General Store (an Amana Heritage Museum site), 4430 V Street, Homestead, to enjoy the offerings of six wineries located in the Amana Colonies and Eastern Iowa. While sampling the wines and learning about the varietals,  methods and locations of the wineries directly from the Winery representatives, it will be the pleasure of the Amana Heritage Society to offer an assortment of appetizers that will compliment the wines. Billy Heller will provide musical entertainment as you gather with old friends and new at this festive event. Tickets are $15 per person and include an engraved keepsake tasting glass, the selection of Iowa and Amana Wines, appetizers to accompany the wine selections and warm autumn camaraderie in a historic location. All proceeds will benefit the Amana Heritage Society.
