The AIDS Project for Women & Children--Uganda will have a crafts booth at the Sycamore Mall Fall Craft Show (in Iowa City) to benefit WomenCrafters, a not-for-profit association in Uganda of HIV/AIDS widows, orphans, grandmothers and/or guardians. The craft booth will be open on Saturday, November 7 (10am-6pm) and Sunday, November 8 (11am-5pm). On sale will be various handmade traditional crafts made by the Ugandan members of WomenCrafters: nativities, mother and child dolls, paper-bead jewelry, bark cloth batiks, mats, baskets and much more. All proceeds (minus the cost of shipping) are returned to WomenCrafters in Uganda. Also, we will have a poetry book: The Blessing by Mayombwe David Simeon-an orphan trying to raise money to go back to college from the book sales proceeds. These are great Christmas gifts for your family and friends that will make a huge difference to the lives of the beneficiaries..
